We are a committed group of female professionals who have come together to form the Legal Awareness & Free Legal Aid Women Society (LAFLAWS), a registered society and a body corporate under Section 9 (1) and Section 76 of the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act, 2012. LAFLAWS has its registered office on the 1st floor, House no. 15, Sector 2, Panchkula. We at LAFLAWS are engaged tirelessly in spreading general legal awareness, specifically emphasising on development of women, senior citizens and children through education, awareness and a legal support system.

LAFLAWS actively and strenuously aims at spreading legal awareness in general with special emphasis on development through educating and bringing awareness in women, senior citizen and children. The same is achieved by providing free legal aid, legal counseling and filing petitions at appropriate forums on pertinent issues of constitutional and legal importance. We also work on issues pertaining to women, senior citizen, children and poor people on a probono basis.

Dr Deepa Singh is the strength behind LAFLAWS under whose vision the society functions. With more than 22 years as a practicing advocate, she has over the past few years made issues related to women, children and the incarcerated the focal point of her work. Ms Renu Bhardwaj has been practicing law since 2017 at District Courts, Panchkula. She has completed M. Com, M.Phil and LL.B. and has been interested in legal aid work since the beginning of her private practice. She is highly motivated, talented and loves working with people.
Dr Malvika Singh holds B.A. LLB. (Hons.) degree from NALSAR Academy of Law, Hyderabad’2012, a masters’ degree from University of California Berkeley, Boalt Hall’ 2014 and a PHD. degree from Punjab University Chandigarh’2018. She has worked as a corporate counsel at Khaitan & Co. Bombay, served as Assistant Advocate General Punjab and is now currently pursuing private practice.
Chitrangada Singh holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree from U.I.L.S. Panjab University, Chandigarh and a master's degree from University of California, Berkeley. She has worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, and an international human rights consultancy, Global Rights Compliance. She currently works as a legal officer at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Mehak Sawhney enrolled with the Punjab & Haryana Bar in 2017, a counsel with hands on experience in representing clients before Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Haryana Real Estate Appellate Tribunal, State consumer Dispute Redressal Forum, District Court of Haryana as well UT Chandigarh, Revenue court of Financial Commissioner, Haryana and Lokayukta Haryana. An alumni of Punjab University Mehak’s understanding of the legal profession is limitless, as a large part of her practice Mehak regularly advises and assists clients on domestic matters as well as family disputes. Mehak is an asset to the organization as her zeal for the profession is unsurpassed and her courage is unparalleled.
An alumnus of UPES, Dehradun has completed her hons. In energy laws. She started her career in 2017 and has a broad base practical knowledge at the Courts and tribunals of the state of Punjab and Haryana. She has gained appreciation for presenting paper on “ Women rights and Safety” at Amity Law School, Gwalior in 2013. Samridhi’s analytical approach is her forte.
Mrs. Anjana Choudhary is a practicing advocate at district courts, Yamuna Nagar since 2017. She holds a degree in M. A., B.Ed., LLB and LLM. She is devoted to her work and believes in teamwork. She is a keen learner and has a passion for legal aid work.
Deepali Verma is an alumna of Kurukshetra University and is a member of Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana since 2013. She has been practising before various District Court and Punjab and Haryana High Court, and has handled numerous matters relating to Civil Laws, POCSO Act, Family Laws and Criminal Laws. She has done her Ph.D in Juvenile Law and has to her name various publications including Articles, Research Paper and Newspaper Reports. She believes in hard work & is determined to help the people in need to make a better society.
Aashna Aggarwal holds a BA LLB Degree from OP Jindal Global University and a LLM in International Arbitration from the National University of Singapore. She has a wide range of experience and has also been an Associate at a Tier-1 law firm. She is currently pursuing private practice at the Punjab & Haryana High Court. Her areas of expertise extends from property law, family law, tax, domestic disputes to even various facets of law on the criminal side as well.
Ms Akanksha Yadav is a practicing Advocate with degrees in BA (Hons) & LLB from Panjab University Chandigarh , PG Diploma in Insurance Management from Amity University Campus Noida, LLM from Kurukshetra University. She has hands on experience of over a decade in handling Civil and Criminal matters at District Courts Panchkula , Consumer Forums and Punjab & Haryana High Court. She is a Panel Advocate with District Legal Services Authority Panchkula and a cerified expert on child / bonded Labour Laws.
